The Irish law that covers abrasive wheels training is the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (General Application) (Amendment) Regulations 2016 (S.I. No. 36 of 2016). This regulation requires employers to ensure that anyone who uses abrasive wheels has received adequate training in their safe use.

My Abrasive Wheels course is aimed at any person who is required to work a angle grinder, consaw or bench grinder during their working day. It is a valuable addition to anyone who works with these tools. It allow the participants understand the legal requirements and the potential impact of life changing injuries should an accident occur.

In Ireland, there were an average of 100 accidents involving abrasive wheels each year between 2016 and 2020. Of these accidents, an average of 10 people were seriously injured and 1 person was killed each year.
